Make a Gift to Stone Soup
The low fees that parents pay make up 87% of Stone Soup's revenue. The remaining 13% is from grants and donations used for the following program needs:
- Tuition assistance for very low-income, at-risk children and families in crisis.
- Start-up of new sites and refurbishment of older existing sites due to the every day use of equipment and materials by 4000 children
- Guest artists who work with the children in dance, music, drama, chess, storytelling and art.
- Field trips to museums, zoos, parks, sporting events, and educational and cultural attractions.
- Special initiatives such as the computer lab project and nutrition and fitness curriculum.
- Staff training to assure quality child care for all children.
Nearly 95% of all expenditures are for direct services to children.
A low 5.5% administrative cost has been maintained
throughout Stone Soup history.
